Pro Insurance Charity Walk for GBG

We were lucky enough to have 20 Pro Insurance staff members embark on a Charity Walk to raise money for GBG on Wednesday 22 March 2023. They travelled from our Office at the GL3 Community Hub, to Blackbridge Athletics Track, home of our GBG Bikes sessions on Mondays, then over to Gloucester City AFC, home of our GBG Gloucester City AFC PAN Football Teams.

The guys were greeted with Bacon Rolls and Coffee at our office, and were able to observe, and help out a bit, our Active Ageing Sessions with Oakley. They then left the Community Hub, walking for 2 hours down to Blackbridge Athletics Track, where they were able to use some of our Adapted Bikes, and attempt a couple of shots in a Powerchair Football Strike Force. After this initial 5 mile walk, they headed over to Gloucester City AFC, where they were lucky enough to see a local derby in action (Gloucester U19s vs Kidderminster U19). 

At each location, they were greeted by participants of each session, and the Pro Insurance team were very interested in what they do, why they participate, and how the money which they have raised could help. 

The 7 mile walk for all 20 participants was completed within 5 hours, with over 20,000 steps each, meaning roughly 400,000 steps were taken overall.
