Club development programme

If there is a need for a Powerchair club in the area, we will happily set up the club. There must be enough players in the area to take place; we recommend at least six players per club to start with. 

All Powerchair Football clubs need financial support. Most clubs utilise local businesses to provide financial support to cover running costs, kit, venue hire, etc. 

Maintaining these relationships with local funders is key, as Powerchair Football is an expensive sport. 

The first weekend is a key opportunity to promote and advertise your club. We encourage clubs to engage with local Schools, Colleges, Universities and Daycare Centres, hoping to introduce new people to the sport.

Once the club has enough players, we will encourage delivering fortnightly or even weekly sessions. To start, our qualified coaches will attend your sessions whilst we source the support of local coaches or train up your current volunteers. 

Once your club is up and running and your club’s staff are all trained up with relevant qualifications, we will deliver a Powerchair Football coaching course. 

Once you are delivering regular sessions, we will help develop staff, search for funding, source equipment, kit, and establish a club committee. 

We will make sure every box is ticked, so we know we are leaving you in a good position.
