Through a dynamic partnership with the North West Training Council, specialized electric wheelchairs have been meticulously crafted, enabling players to maneuver the ball and engage in friendly tackles. The latest chair iteration even allows players to effortlessly shoot the ball with the press of a button.
In Power Hockey, children join in alongside their non-disabled friends, coaches, and siblings. Remarkably, due to their regular use of electric wheelchairs, disabled children often excel in the game, fostering an incredible boost in self-esteem and confidence.
This groundbreaking sport grants severely disabled children the chance to participate in a fast-paced, contact sport—an opportunity previously unavailable to them. While currently being developed in the UK, our vision extends beyond local borders; we aspire to evolve Power Hockey into an international sport.
