The GBG Knights are the highest ranked team in the Goals Beyond Grass Powerchair Football Club Development Programme.
The GBG Knights play in the Optegra Powerchair Football Championship, the 2nd Tier of Powerchair Football in England.
The GBG Knights also play in the West Midlands PFL – Championship.
Where do the GBG Knights Play and Train?
As above, the GBG Knights play in the WFA National League, in the PTC Therapeutics Championship. As matches are only 40 minutes long, 2 – 20-Minute Halves, all of the teams in the league will meet and play 4 or 5 matches in a weekend, usually in Nottingham. This means costs for the players stay as low as possible, and as many players as possible can come along and get a good amount of game time.
The Regional Matches follow a similar format to the national matches, however the venue is in Birmingham, rather than Nottingham.
Training for the GBG Knights is every 2-3 weeks at Chosen Hill School, for 3 hours at a time. This gives the players plenty of time to work on drills and match practice, which has prepared them incredibly well for this season of Powerchair Football.
